Privacy Policy
We ask for very little, we keep it no longer than we must, and we never sell it. This page explains exactly what happens to the information you send us.

01Who we are
Sayyid & Najjar Co. FZE ("Sayyid & Najjar Co.", "we", "us") is a trading house registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with its registered office at Almas Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of our dealings with you.
Questions about this policy, or any request concerning your data, should be sent to private.office@sayyidnajjar.com. We respond to every such request, and we respond within thirty days.
02What we collect
Through the enquiry and valuation forms on this website, we collect only what you choose to provide: your name, email address, telephone number where given, your city and country, the nature of your enquiry, details of the item concerned, and your message. Nothing on this site asks for financial account details, and you should never send them to us by email.
Where a transaction proceeds, regulatory obligations require us to collect and retain identity documentation and evidence of ownership. That is a legal requirement under the UAE anti-money-laundering framework rather than a commercial preference, and it applies to every regulated dealer in this market.
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not operate retargeting pixels, we do not sell audience data, and we do not build advertising profiles of visitors. The only browser storage we use is a short list of your recent GIA report lookups, held locally on your own device so the verification tool is convenient to reuse. That list never leaves your browser and is never transmitted to us.
03Why we hold it, and for how long
Enquiry information is used for one purpose: to answer your enquiry. We do not add enquirers to a marketing list, and we do not send unsolicited communications. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, together with our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry addressed to us.
Enquiry records are retained for twenty-four months and then deleted, unless a transaction proceeds. Where a transaction does proceed, records are retained for the period required by UAE anti-money-laundering and commercial record-keeping law, which is presently five years from the end of the business relationship.
04Who else sees it
Email delivery for this website is handled by Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.), and site hosting by Vercel Inc. Both process data on our instructions under written agreements, and both may process data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United States and the European Union.
Where a transaction involves one of our correspondent desks, the minimum information necessary to complete it is shared with that desk under the same confidentiality obligations that bind us. We disclose information to regulators, banks or law-enforcement authorities only where we are legally compelled to do so.
We do not sell, rent, licence or trade personal information. There is no circumstance in which we would, and no commercial arrangement under which it could occur.
05Your rights
You may ask us at any time to provide a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, to delete it where we are not legally obliged to retain it, to restrict how we use it, or to withdraw a consent you previously gave. Exercising any of these rights costs nothing and will never affect how we deal with you.
- Access — a copy of what we hold, in a readable format
- Rectification — correction of anything inaccurate or incomplete
- Erasure — deletion, where no legal retention obligation applies
- Restriction — a pause on processing while a question is resolved
- Objection — to any processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdrawal of consent — at any time, with immediate effect
06Security
This site is served exclusively over TLS. Enquiry data is transmitted encrypted, delivered by email to a restricted internal address, and is accessible only to principals of the firm. We apply the principle of least access: colleagues who do not need to see an enquiry do not see it.
No system is absolutely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. What we can say is that we collect as little as possible, keep it for as short a time as possible, and hold nothing on this website that would be valuable to an attacker.
07Confidentiality of transactions
Separately from data protection law, we treat every client relationship as confidential as a matter of professional practice. We do not publish, list, catalogue or advertise items we acquire. We do not attach a former owner’s name to a piece. We do not discuss client holdings with third parties, including other clients, and estate work is conducted under written confidentiality as standard.
08Changes to this policy
Any material change will be reflected here with a revised date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will contact you directly rather than relying on you to notice.
